Okay,I'm so, so happy that I eventually made end. I'm just recordingthis podcast episode. You know, it's now thirty and from Bo am,I wanted to record this podcast episode,...

...but I couldn't make it up untilnow, and it has a little story. It is a funny story. Naturally, at that time of the day, I mean four am, my husbandand my daughter were both sleeping, so I went to the car park, sat in my car, which is, by the way, my mini studioand I use it from time to time in order to record my podcast, and so I wanted to hit the record bottom. You know, Iliterally choose this time of the day, I mean early mornings, because youcan barely hear any noise or any disturbances. Is At that time of the day. But today, the moment that I just hit the record button,I understood that, unbelievably, two of our neighbors were just having their ownlittle meeting in the car park and they were talking about the recent political affirsfor am in the carboard, and I couldn't really believe it. And youknow, I wanted to just remind you that some of the Times life canbe this much unpredictable. I mean the early mornings, which was supposed tobe a sacred quiet time of the day, can solve the times unbelievably and unpredictablyturn into a noisy time of the day. And so I think itwas a really good introduction in order to jump into today's topic, which isall about having flexibility around our productivity planning system in life. Today I'm goingto specifically talk about how am I able to work this lots of hats allat once, and I said the question which I'm mostly asked about as amom, a wife, an entrepreneur business intelligence and at least a tutor,a housekeeper, a wife, a life at me. You know, Ido believe that we can really have a...

...flexible productivity planning system and manage allof our roles. It's really about having proper systems in life, not abouthaving more time, because, without shadow of a doubt, the most successfulpeople in the world had the exact, act, the same twenty four hoursin their lives. So it's the matter of how we manage our times, not the amount of time in hand. And who doesn't know how unpredictable isa MOM's life? So if you're not a mom and you're listening to thisepisode, rest a short at. This system sticks to you too, evenmore because it sticks to the most unmanageable life, so it is guaranteed. You know, there are dozens of time management strategies and applications out there, even dozens of contents about them, and, believe me, I have implemented themall. I'm such an eager beaver in this path I'm never tired oftrial and error. And so you came to the right place. Let metell you that you need to base your life on a realistic system to besuccessful. The most perfect systems, if are ideal and not applicable for you, they are trash. You need a system to be flexible enough and makeyou feel free around it. You can use it for your corporate job, planning your mom life, planning personal life, entrepreneurial life, and here me,all of your roles with just one system. Just don't ever think ofhaving various systems and tools for managing your time when it comes to different rulesin your life. And when I say I was there, I really meanit. Just ten applications on my mobile phone, five websites, plus twentynotebooks. This which comprehensive and complex.

I used to see my productivity managementand I used to believe that it's completely normal that the more roles you undertake, the more complex your time management system would be in life. Okay, but let me tell you that now I manage all of my roles and jobsand just one sheet of paper without Eddie failure. I also believe in ahybrid system, which is a combination of digital and physical system that I sharewith you soon, that digital part of it. Today I'm going to tellyou about the fundamental time blocking system that I use. You know, fromaround ten years ago up until now, time blocking is a thing and itbecomes even more common monk productivity lovers like me. The WIKI Petia definition ofit is time blocking is a productivity technique for personal time management, where aperiod of time, typically a day or week, is divided into smaller segmentsor blocks for specific tasks or to douse. It integrates the function of a calendarwith that of a to do list. It's a kind of scheduling. Okay, this was the definition of time blocking. It really allows you togo beyond your to do list, from your random on categorized braindown to anterversionof your time management where you know what sort of tasks you do in eachsegment of your day. There are five time blocks that I use and Ijust plan my life around those time blocks every day, no matter what arethe tasks that I'm doing on that day. So I believe that it can beimplemented for everyone. What important thing is that each block of time hasa definition but no specific timing. I...

...mean, your first block of timecould be just five minute one day and two hours another day. So theseare the five time blocks that I really know, rate too during the lastyears of my life. Morning Block, set up block, Work Block, family block and nighttime block. And what is the definition of each of thesetime blocks? You know, morning block is is the block that you andyou are just alone. I mean it is time to pour into yourself.I mean like get connected to God, if you believe in faith, orjournaling or maybe some sort of physical activity or meditation, everything that can makeyour day even plan my day out in this block of time. So it'snot a work block, it's not a housekeeping block. Maybe it's just tenminutes for you or is maybe two hours, depends on the time that you haveand the season of your life that you're in now. You can justmanage and you can just plan for that block of time. But even ifyou're a busy working person and your day starts so soon, just set upyour alarm for ten minutes earlier and create this sacred time for yourself. Itcan truly pump you up for the day. Okay, the next block of timeis set up block. Any home set up tasks like breakfast preparation, getting kids ready for the day or you get ready for the day, orany house to do, like pain bills, setting Dr Appointments or any kind ofpreparation for the house, like meal...

...planning, milk prepping, deep cleaningthe house or anything like that. For me, in this season of lifethat I'm in, I do have a setup block of time each day foran hour after my morning block time and before my work block time in orderto just making the breakfast and just getting ready for the day and preparing everythingfor my daughter in order go to the kindergarten and things like that. Andat the end of the week, I mean on weekends, we do havedeep cleaning time block, which is, you know, a category of setupblock because we set up the house for a new week and we do havemeal preparation in this block of time. So yeah, that's it. Thenext block of time is the block of time where you're just working and youjust focusing on your work. So it is called Word Block. No otherhousehold or kids or any other thing. Maybe you have a nine to fivejob, so this block of time has a predefined time stap for you,but maybe your freelancer or an entrepreneurial like me. So it could be reallyflexible each day. One day you have just two hours to focus and theother day you have maybe five or six hours. It is so flexible. The next block of time, mine is family blood time. If you havea key, it's the block of time that you pour into them, pourinto your key, pour into your husband and have family fun, have oneon one time with your kids, prepared dinner together and then have dinner, wine down for sleep, read book together, everything that you want to do withyour family members and tear me. In this block of time you shouldnever ever do anything like work related tasks...

...or any other thing. Just focuson your family. And the last block of time is nighttime. Black it'salso your time without kids. You can have your nighttime routine like skincare, reading books or anything. Have someone on one time with your husband and unwindand relax before bed. Again, you define the timing of each blood butjust you need to be present in each block of time that you're in.They shouldn't be in order. I mean, for example, it happens to methat in some serises of my life I have my work block before mymorning block in the early mornings, or between family block and ninetime block. It's the merits of this way of time blocking, but my mind knows inadvance. If it is word block time, I'm so no house tasks, nokid tasks, no nothing, just focus on work. Also, ifit is family block, it's just my family time. There is no laptopon the lab and how I set it up for myself on a weekly basis. Each week I check my calendar for any event or meetings of any kind, whether family event, job related or anything's and so on. One sheetof paper, which is in my paper planner, I craft my week anddefine my time blocks based on the schedule that I have that week. Thereare weeks in my life that I could have consistent work blogs on fixed timestops during the week and another weeks which I needed to play around my blocks, but in both cases I set a realistic plan for my week that Ican commit to. And what are the benefits of these kind of time blockingfor me? It allows me to be...

...present in what block of time thatI'm in, whether it's work block, family block or whatever. It helpsme keep the balance between work and family and the flexibility to be able tomove my work block around is a game changer. You know, and itis the secret to this. Are In mystery that how am I able towear all of my hands? You know, I'm pretty open about that, andmaybe some of the Times a family event gets priority over my work.So I just play around that time block, of family block and just prioritize itover my work black time at that time of the day. And then, I mean I have my work block at the end of the day.So it is so easy for me to manage all of my roles all atonce. This was it this much straightforward. I married this time blocking system witha list of my nonnegotiables for the week that I'll cover in the nextepisode to make sure that my basic needs are covered throughout the week. Also, I will tell you about the calendar set up with one too, butfor all of my roles in life, in another episode.
