Before diving into today's podcast, I wanted to tell you that how thrilled and happy I am a about realizing one of my dreams, which was batching some episodes for a moment as podcast. You know, for a long time I wanted to batch two or three episodes in advance in order to be more consistent on creating content because, as you know, I'm a mom like you, and I have a busy life, I have other jobs to do and most of the time I really find myself miserable about finding some minutes or some hours in order to put on podcasting things like that. But today it happens and I said and recorded two episodes in a row, and I'm so happy for that because after experiencing recording a podcast in English without a script, which may seem far fast for me in the first place, I'm now experiencing podcast batching, which is, I think, a solution for my busy life and a solution to just show up more consistently. So I hope I can continue this process and I can find more time to create more content, because you cannot, ever, imagine how many topics are just waiting in my mind map and I want to talk about all of them in as podcast. But I do have a shortage of...

...time and I know that I need more consistency in this path. So cheers for this start of podcast batching and increasing my productivity and increasing my efficiency in this path of podcast coorting and podcast publishing. Okay, now let's go to today's topic. As I told you, are really visualized a really common and frequent problem that really happens for all of us. We buy something which is written in our grocery list and we think that okay, we're done and we have now everything for the recipes that we need, and then we embark in our week. For the first recipe, everything is there. For the second recipe, everything is there and all of a sudden, for the third recipe, Oh my God, the basic ingredient, which was, for example, a tomato paste, it is not there. I don't know how in the world it happened to me. And then you'll have another trip to the grocery store, which is so time consuming and really bad. For the fourth recipe, everything is there, and then again for the fifth recipe, and another thing that you have thought you you have them in a hand but it is not there, and so another trip to the grocery store and you're tired of that. You do not have time to put on that. So how can you prevent this repetitive, monotonous action of multiple TRIPS TO GROCERY STORE? I have a solution for you, and that is monthly stuck up. You definitely know the concept of monthly styck of it means that just tucking your pantry or wherever you keep your ingredients and foods there with the most common and most frequent items that you need, you and your family need throughout the month and then, in this case, being more prepared for making your recipes and making your foods throughout the week. But there are some of the steps, I think...

...in creating your monthly stock up list and then bind them that you need to take it into consideration in order to rest ashort that you have done it correctly, because you know, maybe currently you're doing your monthly stock up but it is not as efficient and as accurate as you need it to be. So let's go through these monthly stock up step. Okay, the first step is to know what you can stuck. Of course you know what are the items that can stock up in advance, but I want to just review that for you in order to just emphasize that. You know, the first category of the items that can stock our shelf stable items, the things like whole grains and flower like oats, rise Pasta of any kind, flower of any kind. The second category are beans and lentils of any kind, whether you're using the canned version of them or the raw version of them, kidney beans or green lentils or things like that. And the third category or shelf stable veggies, like the canned green beans or tomato paste or things like that. And the fourth category of shelf stable items are knots and not butter, and this is the favorite item of mine. We do buy a bunch of them. Use the knot botters or the knots for making not milk, to use it in our smoothies and a lot of recipes, so I always make sure to just have a lot of them in hand. And the next category of the items that you can stock our pantry items. You should customize the least based on your family, but these are the things like salt, sugar, essential spices, cooking coils or some sort of snacks or anything that you just recognize that it is the Pantry item that we need to have in hand for the...

...recipes that all the family members like. The next category of the items that you can stock are frozen items, the things like meats that you can buy in advance and then freeze them, vedges like cauliflower or Broccoli or anything that you use frozen, the Greens, like spinach, the herbs like Basil. You know, Basil is my favorite frozen item in the freezer because, yeah, we tend to eat a lot of pesto pasta and pestal sauce in I will use it in a lot of recipes to marinate, she can to use it in Pasta and everywhere. We Love Bazzl so I always make sure to have lots of them in the freezer so whenever we want to have a quick pasta or we want to have the sauce, it is right there. And then some of the fresh, long lasting produce like squashes, you know butterna squash, or some of the root vegges like potatoes, onions, garlic, ginger, you know, these kind of veggies, although they are fresh, but they can last for nearly a month if we keep them in the right place and in the right temperature. So these are a list of the items that we can stuck in advance. I know that you know better than me. What are the other items, maybe that I didn't mention, or the favorite items for your family that are customized with your version of stock list. So prepare at least of the items that you you want to have in hand whenever you need them, and customize it for your family. So we go to the next step, step to add your survival items to the least, and why do I mean by that? The items that, for example, in cases of emergency, like, I don't know, when the pandemic emerges,...

...for examples, of the supermarkets were closed and we didn't have access in the first days to to just go and do our grocery shopping. You know, for four occasions like that or maybe something I'm predictable, happens, we should have some of the items in hand, for example, like water, like maybe some snacks and chocolate and things like that. Add your survival items to the list of your monthly stock up. So you have provided a comprehensive list of items that you need to stock up each month in order to make sure that you are well prepared and you have everything in hand whenever you want and whatever happens. The third step is a buying them in bulk, and it is a suggestion, of course, to buy them in bulk but, as you know, it is so financially helpful if you buy them in bulk and also it has lots of other benefits, like in being environmentally friendly. So I would suggest you buy them in bulk or whatever option that you want. So just buy them in step. For I want you to make hand your versions of them and put them in your pantry. I mean, for example, if you have bought lots of lentils, just fail a jar with lentails, put it in your pantry in order to have it in hand and also have a rotational pantry charge plan for yourself. I mean, for example, every other week, just go and just fill the jars that have been emptied with the items that you have in your stock. Okay, and in the last step, I want you to have a track record of your monthly stock up items, the prices of them and also the time that you have bought them, in order to just have a better estimation of your house needs...

...in terms of food and ingredients. I mean, if you have a track record of the items that you have bought and, for example, understand that you use all the the lentils that you have bought in just three weeks. So you know that for the next month you need to add another bunch of lentils to your grocery basket so that you can cover all of the needs of your family. And it is a learning curve. After two or three months we can we can easily estimate what are the exact needs of our family and, based on that, stuck up with the adequate amount of foods and ingredients for the whole month. And now that we have finished these five steps, which were knowing what we can stock, adding our survival items to the list of monthly stock up, by them in bulk, making handier version of them and have rotational pantry charge plan for charging them. And the last step was having a track record of our monthly stock up items, prices and things like that for better estimation for the future. Let's go through the benefits, the benefits of monthly stock up. Of course, it is crystal clear that this process of monthly stock up is budget friendly because of first, we can buy them in bulk and second, if we buy them even order them online, we can use the benefits of free shipping because of the amount of the grocery the second benefit is that it is environmentally friendly and it is the best benefit for me. It is my favorite, you know, because I'm a kind of environmentalist and I really am conscious about environment and I'm really worried about environment...

...because I'm worried about the future of children in the future. So why it is environmentally friendly. It is crystal clear that there is less packaging and, of course, fewer number of trips to the grocery store. If you month, we do monthly stock up and the the third benefit is that we are emergency safe. I call it emergency stay because if we do have a stock up, we may be less worried if anything happens. Anythink emergency happens. The fourth benefit is that we can have a healthier family in the long run. And how it happens, because you know, when we have all of the ingredients in hand, we are less likely to go out for dinner because we cannot make dinner because we are out of the ingredients that we need for that food. So we're less likely to go out or to use takeaways and in the log round we will have a healthier version of our family. It is awesome. And, last but not the least, it is time saving, which is the perfect item because we are all experiencing shortage of time all day and if anything can help us and can stay in our precious time as MOM's. So it is perfect for all of these benefits that I've told you. I really want you to take this system into consideration and try to implement it in your home. I hope it will reduce the burden on your shoulders and you read the benefits of it of any kind. Okay, this was this week's episode. Did you know that there are a lot of resources in Momentus website?
